This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Misnova Technologies Limited, trading as Billsverse, handles cancellations and refunds for fees paid to us for:
- Billsverse Nova software licences
- Setup, configuration and implementation services
- Customisation and development work
- Training and academy programmes
- Branding, launch campaigns and other growth services
- Maintenance and support plans
It does not cover purchases your own customers make on a storefront you operate. Refunds to your customers are your responsibility under your own customer terms.
2. Your contract comes first
Every paid engagement with Billsverse is set out in a written quotation, contract or order form. If that document includes cancellation or refund terms, those terms apply and take priority over this policy.
This policy applies where your agreement does not deal with a particular situation. If you are unsure which applies, ask us in writing before you make a decision.
3. No payments are taken on this website
This website does not take card payments or process any transactions. Submitting a form does not create a payment or an order. If you have not received and paid an invoice from Misnova Technologies Limited, there is nothing to refund.
4. Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel in writing after paying a deposit or invoice but before we have started work, for example before setup, configuration, development or the first training session, we will refund the amount paid in full, less any third-party costs we have already incurred on your behalf with your approval.
5. Refunds by type of service
Software licences
Once licensed software has been delivered or installed and the licence, files or access have been provided, the licence fee is generally not refundable, because software cannot be returned once delivered.
If the software does not perform substantially as described in your contract, and we cannot fix the problem within a reasonable time after you report it, you may be entitled to a partial or full refund of the licence fee for the affected part of the software.
Setup, implementation and customisation
These services are charged for the work carried out. If you cancel part-way through, we will refund any amount paid for work not yet performed, calculated according to the milestones or schedule in your quotation. Completed work and milestones already delivered are not refundable.
Training and academy programmes
- Cancelling at least 7 days before the programme starts: full refund.
- Cancelling less than 7 days before the start: you can move to a later cohort or session at no charge, or receive a 50% refund.
- After the programme has started: no refund, but you may join a later cohort for sessions you missed, subject to availability.
If we cancel or postpone a programme and you cannot attend the new date, we will refund the fee in full.
Growth services
Branding and campaign fees are refundable for work not yet started. Concepts, designs and campaign assets already delivered are not refundable. Advertising spend paid directly to platforms such as Meta, Google or TikTok is never a Billsverse fee, and money already spent on ads cannot be recovered.
Maintenance and support plans
You can cancel a recurring plan by giving the notice stated in your agreement. Fees for periods that have already started are not refundable. If you paid in advance for future periods, we will refund the unused full periods after the notice period ends.
6. What Billsverse cannot refund
- Fees paid to your hosting provider, domain registrar, payment gateway, or SMS and email providers
- Money loaded into your VTU provider account (your float) or held by your payment gateway
- Advertising spend paid to third-party platforms
- Work and deliverables already completed and accepted
- Bank charges and currency conversion costs you incurred
Where you paid a third party directly, any refund must be requested from that third party under its own terms.
7. If we cannot deliver
If we are unable to deliver the agreed scope for reasons within our control, we will either complete the work within a revised timeline that you agree to, or refund the amounts paid for the undelivered part of the scope. The choice will be yours.
8. How to request a refund
- Email hello@billsverse.com with “Refund request” in the subject line.
- Include your invoice number, the date of your contract or quotation, and the reason for your request.
- Attach any supporting information, such as a description of a defect and the steps you have already taken.
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and give you a written decision within 15 business days, explaining the contract position and the amount, if any, to be refunded.
9. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid by bank transfer, in Nigerian naira, to the account the original payment came from, within 14 business days of our written decision. If that account is no longer available, we will ask you to confirm a different account in writing from your registered contact email.
We do not charge a fee to process a refund. Your bank may apply its own charges.
10. Reviews and disputes
If you disagree with our decision, reply to our email and ask for a review by a senior member of our team. We will review the request and respond within 10 business days.
We encourage you to contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. We can usually resolve issues faster directly.
11. Your legal rights
This policy does not affect any rights you have under Nigerian law that cannot be excluded by contract, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 where they apply.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes do not affect agreements already signed, which remain subject to the policy or terms in force when they were agreed. Earlier versions remain available through their permanent links.
