1. About these terms
These terms of use (“terms”) govern your access to and use of billsverse.com and every page, form and piece of content on it (the “website”). The website is operated by Misnova Technologies Limited, trading as Billsverse (“Billsverse”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing or using the website, you confirm that you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
If you use the website on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that organisation.
These terms should be read together with our privacy notice and cookie policy, which explain how we handle personal data.
2. What these terms do not cover
These terms apply to the website only. The following are governed by separate written agreements, which take priority over anything on the website:
- Licences for Billsverse Nova or any other Billsverse software, summarised in our software licence
- Setup, implementation, hosting assistance, customisation and maintenance services
- Training, academy enrolment and workshops
- Branding, marketing and other growth services
Where a written quotation, contract or invoice conflicts with information on the website, the written document governs.
3. Who may use the website
The website is intended for people aged 18 or over who are researching, starting or running a business. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are able to enter into binding agreements under the law that applies to you.
4. No purchases or payments on the website
Billsverse is not a consumer airtime, data or bill-payment store. You cannot buy airtime, data bundles, electricity tokens, cable TV subscriptions or any other service for personal use on this website.
You also cannot pay a licence or service fee on the website. Our sales process is: enquiry, written quotation, contract, then an invoice paid by bank transfer or another method we agree with you in writing.
Submitting a form is a request for information or a quotation. It does not create an order or a contract, and it does not oblige you or us to go ahead.
5. Forms, enquiries and communications
When you submit a form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp or social media, you agree to:
- give accurate information, and use only your own contact details or details you are authorised to share
- not include passwords, one-time codes, API keys, bank card numbers or your customers’ personal data
- not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, misleading or that infringes anyone else’s rights
- let us use the information to respond to you, as described in our privacy notice
We aim to respond to enquiries promptly, but we do not guarantee a response time unless one is stated in a written agreement.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the website only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or any connected system or database
- introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code
- carry out denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise disrupt or overload the website
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or harvest content or data in a way that degrades the website or breaches these terms
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the website without our written permission
- impersonate Billsverse, our staff or anyone else, or misrepresent your connection with us
- use the website to send spam or unsolicited marketing
- use content from the website to mislead others, including presenting our product screens as evidence of your own results or income
Some of these acts may also be offences under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015. We may report them to the relevant authorities and cooperate with any investigation.
Reporting security issues
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to hello@billsverse.com with “Security” in the subject line, and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it publicly. Please do not access, change or delete data that does not belong to you while investigating.
7. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, graphics, page layouts, product screens, logos and the Billsverse and Billsverse Nova names, are owned by or licensed to Misnova Technologies Limited, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
You may view and print pages for your own business research. You must not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the website, or use our names or logos, without our prior written permission.
Names and logos of mobile networks, payment gateways and other third parties shown on the website belong to their respective owners. They appear because our software works with their services or because we work with them, and their appearance does not mean they endorse this website.
Some illustrations and icons on the website are used under licence from third-party providers and remain their property.
8. Information on the website
We work hard to keep the website accurate and up to date, but its content is provided for general information only. In particular:
- Product descriptions explain how our software generally works. The features included in your licence are those listed in your quotation and contract.
- Product screens and dashboard views show how the software looks. Figures shown in them are examples, not real customer data or results.
- Blog articles, guides and training previews are general guidance and not professional, financial, tax, legal or regulatory advice. Take advice suited to your own circumstances before making decisions.
- Information about third-party providers, gateways, fees and settlement times may change without notice. Confirm current terms with the provider directly.
Running a bills-payment business involves commercial risk. Nothing on the website is a promise or guarantee of income, profit or business success.
9. Third-party links and services
The website contains links to websites and services run by others, including social media platforms, Linktree, payment gateways and VTU providers. These links are provided for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
10. Availability and changes to the website
We may update, suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the website at any time, for business or operational reasons. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. The demo environment, in particular, may be unavailable or reset at any time.
11. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, representation or condition of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, or from your reliance on any content on it, including:
- loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts or anticipated savings
- loss or corruption of data
- loss of goodwill or reputation
- business interruption
- any indirect or consequential loss
Our total liability to you in connection with the website, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, will not exceed fifty thousand naira (₦50,000).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
Liability under a software licence or services contract is governed by that contract, not by this section.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Misnova Technologies Limited and its directors, employees and agents against any claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the website.
14. Privacy and cookies
Our privacy notice explains what personal data we collect through the website and how we use it. Our cookie policy explains how we use local storage and analytics, and how to change your choice.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time by publishing a new version on this page. The version number and effective date at the top show when the terms last changed, and earlier versions remain available through their permanent links. The version in force when you use the website applies to that use, so please check this page from time to time.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the website, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first at hello@billsverse.com. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If it cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer it to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
